Nathan Aldridge is currently the Merchandising Trainer for Gourmet Foods International’s Institut Du Fromage. He is a cheese shop operations expert and self-proclaimed Cheese Preacher. Nathan started his career in cheese at New York City’s famed Murray’s Cheese in 2005. He admittedly knew very little about cheese when starting out as a Cheesemonger, yet that did very little to deter his growing passion for learning, selling, and leading. He quickly rose through the ranks and held many roles over his 13 year stint; Manager at both NYC locations, Field Merchandiser, Director of Operations, and VP of National Operations. He was instrumental in the success of the Murray’s/Kroger cheese program, having opened and managed 347 shops across the entire Kroger enterprise.
Nathan also helped create and refine one of the most respected Cheesemonger training programs in the industry, and has trained hundreds and hundreds of mongers on the fine arts of cheese selling and shop operations. He is well known for his personable and charismatic leadership style, and his uncanny ability to uplift, motivate, and inspire cheese mongers from all walks of life. He is living his best cheese life!
